Our founder, Bobby Brannigan, grew up in his father's Brooklyn butcher shop, where he saw firsthand the complexity of getting food from local businesses to the people they serve.

That experience helped inspire Mercato. What began as a way to modernize local grocery has grown into a broader platform connecting people, food businesses, and healthcare organizations.
