El Nido de Aguila (Mexico)
This season, another star shines on the Gumption cupping table. Northwest of Oaxaca city, nestled on the skirts of the Mazatec range, El Nido de Aguila is produced by a proud group of 700 smallholder growers who like to showcase their flavorful harvest. The two noble coffee varieties of Typica and Bourbon help give this coffee its floral notes of vanilla and elderflower, as well as a syrupy mouthfeel. This high-grown offering also has an enticing cocoa aftertaste.
