The Violet candies from Leone contain essential oils of violet plants, grape skin extract, and natural coloring resulting in fragrantly flavored candy.
The story begins in 1857, when Luigi Leone produced small delicious candies, kneaded by hand in his shop in Alba, in the Piemonte region. In 1861, Leone decided to move his shop to the capital of sweetness, Torino, thanks to its abundance of cafes, patisseries and distinguished confectioner’s shops. Since then, Leone’s high-quality fragrant candies, such as cinnamon, fernet, and rhubarb, are not only well renowned in the city, but all around Italy and the world.
Pastiglie Leone is still producing their ‘pastiglie’ candy originals using traditional bronze molds.
Each tasty violet drop dissolves easily on the tongue, delivering aromatic plant essences to your palate.
